The Essence of the Land and Sky
One-crop floating brown rice is a traditional variety unique to An Giang province in the Mekong Delta. No seedlings transplant is needed; this rice seed is sown directly into the field and sprouts with the first rains of the monsoon season. It grows miraculously with the rising flood, up to 20 cm a day, reaching 3-4m in height. Panicles begin to form as the flood recedes, and the grains ripen with the best nutrients from Mother Earth.
The harvest is then fermented in ceramic jars for as long as one hundred days with our well-guarded generational secret of rice yeast, producing a tremendously smooth spirit in the golden color of the brown rice, full of aroma from nature that lingers for hours in your glass—paired well with various Vietnamese, Thai, Korean and Japanese dishes.
